ActiveKEY Keeps Searching or Displays Communication Error

If your ActiveKEY continues to search or displays a communication error when trying to open an iBox, it may mean that your ActiveKEY is not successfully communicating with the iBox.
 
1. Polish the infrared lens on the top edge of the ActiveKEY with a clean, dry cloth
 
2. Polish the infrared lens on the iBox with a clean, dry cloth.
 
3. When the ActiveKEY begins searching for the iBox, aim the infrared lens on the top edge of the key to the infrared lens on the iBox, holding it about 4 to 8 inches away.
 
4. Shade both the lens on the top edge of the key and the purple lens on the iBox. Infrared communications work better in lower light conditions.
